how to drink japanese "sake"

Sake is well known "water" not only in japan but almost all over the world, here some tips for you
1. if you are buying sake to drink at home, remembered to buy "kara kuchi" the dry kind, and remember that the grades - special, first and second - refer to the strength rather than the flavour. Sake is 16 - 19 % alcohol, Mirin is a cooking sake, not for drinking !
sake sometimes served iced, but is more usually serve warm or hot. to heat your sake just lower the sake bottle into almost boiling water, you can use microwave oven for short cut !
the correct serving temperature is blood heat or above 36 - 40 degrees Celcius .
the etiquette of drinking sake requires that you fill your neighbour's cup but never your own. in japan a sake cup is never allowed to remain empty for long. the cup may be filled to the brim. Sake should, in theory be downed in one !
always raise your cup to receive sake. supporting the cup on your left hand and holding it with your right.
The Toast is "Kampai!"

enjoy your toast, please do not drunk
