How to prepare a Good , Original Japanese tea . Often we ask our self, why when we prepare our own tea not so good as when they prepared for us , especially when the tea master do that preparation . Here i gave you the secret from Japan tea master . Japanese tea come in a many grades , the cheapest is “bancha” the higher grade is “Sencha “ The very best JAPANESE TEA ARE “ HIKICHA “ and “GYOKURO” The preparation: Remember the Japanese teas have in common is they are made with water that is not boiling. As a general rule , the more expensive the tea , the shorter the infusion time and the lower the temperature: 1 – 2 minutes at about 150 farenheit or 65 degrees Celcius for Gyokuro tea and 170 degrees Farenhiet or 75 – 80 degrees celcius for sencha , and 2 – 3 minutes at anything less than boiling for Bancha, bancha leaves sometimes re used to make second infusion. 4 step preparation. 1.Warm the tea pot and put 1 heaped teaspoon of leaves per person , into the pot 2. Pour Boiled water which has been allowed to cool a little, over the tea – leaves . Cover the pot and allow to steep for 1- 2 minutes 3. Warm the tea cups and holding down the lid of the teapot , fill the tea cups only two thirds full 4. To drink the tea , Pick up the cup only with your right hand and support it on your left palm It is customary to make a slight slurping noise when drinking a tea, particularly if it is hot.
